Beware of Limited Perspectives

Your current business practices were not delivered to you through divine intervention on two tablets. Sometimes organizations continue bad practices simply because they are not aware of alternatives. A hard look at your processes will often reveal "limiting beliefs" that when removed will accelerate your development.
Deeply entrenched beliefs tied to suboptimal processes are often the result of politics and organizational beliefs. Determine which beliefs are flexible and can be altered to accelerate your development; conversely, determine if you have entrenched beliefs that prevent you from adopting more agile methods.
